Upcoming work

I am happy to announce that this semester I will have the honor of conducting the Temple Composers Orchestra in the premiere of one of my latest works. Here is an excerpt from the program notes:

Over the course of my college career, I’ve had ups and downs in motivation towards composing and whether or not I want it to be my future. This piece is my attempt to “get back to my roots” so to speak, to enjoy writing music again and write the kind of music I want to write. Over the years I’ve found myself drawn more towards the styles of classical composers such as Aaron Copland, and the scores to animation films by composers like John Powell. My goal with this piece is to evoke the innocence, carefree, and joyous nature of childhood and imagination and pass that on to adults who like me, may have forgotten and left a piece of ourselves behind.
